On 16 May 2017, Borealis presented the winners of the 2016-2017 Student Innovation Award at the Researcher Day in Porvoo, Finland. A jury of high-level Borealis research experts selected the winners in the three categories. Miguel Ángel Rodríguez-Pérez is a full Professor of the Department of Condensed Matter Physics of the University of Valladolid in Spain since 2010. He founded the Cellular Materials Laboratory (CellMat) of that University in 1999. This laboratory is mainly focused on the development of new cellular polymers and new production routes for these materials.
The regional TV programe “Hecho en Castilla y León” visits the facilities of CellMat Laboratory.
The Condensed Matter Physics, Crystallography and Mineralogy Department of the University of Valladolid organized on March 31st, 2017 a tribute to Prof. José Antonio de Saja co-funder of CellMat Laboratory.
